Northern Illinois University’s Financial Literacy Collaborative is partnering with the DeKalb County Ca$h Coalition (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) in bringing the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago’s National Money Smart Week Program to the DeKalb County Community this coming Saturday, April 5th through Saturday, April 12th, 2014.
This collaboration is bringing together many organizations across DeKalb County including businesses, financial institutions, schools, libraries, not-for-profits, government agencies, and the media. Different collaborative representatives, coalition members, and members of the community will be presenting on different topics throughout DeKalb County during the week of April 5-12th.
Stop by one of the 60 FREE community events during the week that will cover all facets of personal finance including: Charitable Giving, Kids and Money, Couponing, Retirement, Credit, Saving for College, Elder Care, Shred Day, Establishing a Budget, Tax Preparation and Filing, Estate Planning, First Time Home Buying, Health Care and much more.
