On Friday, June 23, 2017, the Sycamore Fire Department was presented with a $2,000 check by Al Bauer of Monsanto on behalf of the Monsanto Fund. The $2,000 grant came from the Monsanto Fund’s 2017 Site Grant initiative and the funds will be used to purchase radio pagers, portable radios, and spare radio batteries. We believe that this grant will help facilitate the ability to recall emergency personnel when needed as well as provide for the primary radio communication needed at the scene of the emergency response. The Sycamore Fire Department is extremely grateful of the support of the Monsanto Fund’s 2017 Site Grant initiative to enhance the Fire Department’s ability to respond to emergencies.
