Ward 5 Meeting to Discuss Safe Streets Initiative scheduled for January 11th

Alderman Kate Noreiko invites Ward 5 residents to an informational meeting to be held
on Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 5 pm. The meeting will be held at the DeKalb Police
Department, 700 West Lincoln Highway, in the second-floor Community Room. The
meeting is open to the public. Residents of the Ellwood District, located in the north
section of Ward 5, are encouraged to attend.

At the meeting, Alderman Noreiko and Police Chief Gene Lowery will discuss the
proposed second phase of the Safe Streets Initiative. This proposal would implement
additional parking restrictions in certain areas of the City, including the Ellwood District of
Ward 5. Alderman Noreiko and Chief Lowery will answer questions and accept feedback
on the Safe Streets Initiative, as well as other concerns of Ward 5 residents.
